Community-Led Approaches and Innovations for Better Care Systems, and Community Resilience toward an Inclusive Silver Economy
Bringing policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and civil society together to strengthen community-centred care systems, scale innovations responsibly, and co-produce the Bangkok Recommendations for ageing societies across Asia and the Pacific.
A translation gap between ageing policy and local delivery
Population ageing is accelerating across the Asia-Pacific region, yet implementation capacity remains uneven: many countries have articulated ambitious policy intentions but lack practical tools to integrate health and social care, mobilise community actors, finance services sustainably, and measure outcomes consistently. This conference addresses that translation gap by positioning communities as the delivery platform of the longevity agenda — linking national policy, health and social systems, and regional commitments to scalable, evidence-based local models.
Strengthen care systems
Integrating prevention, care pathways, workforce development, and safeguarding within community and long-term care systems.
Build community resilience
Addressing climate risk, digital transformation, and geopolitical uncertainty through age-responsive, inclusive local action.
Advance an inclusive silver economy
Connecting financing, innovation, and policy so longevity becomes an opportunity for growth and dignity, not only a fiscal pressure.
